FROM ROUGH-IN TO FIT-OFF.
Mat will be there from your planning stages all the way through to rough-in and fit-off. If you have some building plans on the horizon get in touch with us now and we can advise the best practices and products for your project before works commence, saving you money and headaches down the road.
PLANNING
We have worked on new builds and renovations and the best advice we can give is to get professional advise on plumbing before you start works. From pipe locations to the selection and orientation of fittings, checking designs while they are still designs is often much cheaper and quicker than trying to fix issues mid-build.
ROUGH-IN
The installation of pipes is seamless when the design works. Rough-in works involve all pipes and hoses that get installed in wall, floor and roof cavities. Being familiar with the plumbing design ensures rough-in works are undertaken efficiently without causing delays to your project.
FIT-OFF
The final stage of the physical works, once you are ready to activate your new wet area Mat will come and install all of your plumbing fittings ready for use. Installation of your beautiful new vanities, mixers, and toilets makes any project look a million dollars.
COMPLIANCE CERTIFICATE
Lets not forget what might be the most important part of the works, the compliance certificate. After every job is complete Mat will issue a Plumbing Compliance Certificate with the Victorian Building and Plumbing Commission for all required works, ensuring you are covered for all plumbing works that Diverse Plumbing have undertaken.
3 RENO PLUMBING TRAPS TO AVOID
We’ve seen plenty of bathroom budgets blow out because of a few simple oversights. Here is how to keep your project on track and your wallet intact:
THE CONCRETE SLAB SHOCK:
Moving a toilet on a timber subfloor is usually straightforward. Moving it on a concrete slab means concrete saws, jackhammers, and major trenching. If your home is built on a slab, keeping the toilet near its original footprint will save you thousands in labour.
THE CHEAP TAPWARE GAMBLE:
That discount matte-black mixer looks great online, but if it doesn’t have an Australian WaterMark certification, a licensed plumber legally cannot install it. Always look for the WaterMark logo before you buy to ensure it complies with local laws and can handle Victoria’s mains water pressure.
THE SHOWER NICHE SURPRISE:
Want a recessed, tiled shelf built into your new shower wall? Let us know during the planning phase. If we don’t know it’s coming, we might run your hot and cold water pipes exactly inside the wall cavity where you wanted that shelf to go!
DETAIL ORIENTED.
“There is nothing worse than a vanity that isn’t centred or a mixer that hits the wall. We take the time to measure twice so the finish is perfect.”
