THE 2-MINUTE DIY LEAK TEST
Before you call us, try this simple test to confirm you have a leak:
- Turn off every tap, dishwasher, and washing machine in the house. If it has a water tap, turn it off.
- Locate your water meter (usually located in the front garden towards the nature strip).
- Write down the numbers (including the red ones).
- Wait 30 minutes. REMEMBER Do not flush the toilet or use any water during this time.
- Read the meter again.
THE RESULT:
If the numbers have moved, you have a leak.
If they haven’t moved, your high bill might be due to usage (e.g., teenagers taking long showers!).
